An image format with lossless compression and transparency support. Logos, screenshots, graphics with transparent backgrounds.
When to choose HEIC to PNG
Choose PNG when you plan to keep editing an iPhone photo, for example adding captions or cutting out an object, or when you want as little extra loss as possible. If the photo will simply be sent or displayed, JPG is usually more practical.
Common problems and fixes
- The PNG can be very large – a full-size iPhone photo saved as PNG often weighs tens of megabytes. If size is a problem, choose JPG or WebP.
- Conversion takes longer – large images are processed more slowly in the browser, especially on weaker phones.
- The photo is rotated – rotate it in an editor and save it again.
- The file exceeds 100 MB – reduce it before converting.
Quality tips
PNG does not add detail that was not there, but it keeps what the converter reads. If heavy files do not matter, it is a good working format during one editing session.
