How to use it
In the Trip cost mode, enter the distance in kilometres, average consumption and fuel price per litre. Consumption can be given in l/100 km, mpg (US) or mpg (UK) and is converted automatically. Tick Round trip to double the distance, and set the number of passengers to see each person's share.
- Distance in km, consumption and price per litre in euros.
- Result: fuel needed, total cost, cost per person and cost per kilometre.
How to find your consumption
Fill the tank completely, drive your usual route and fill up to full again. Switch to Consumption from fuel used, then enter the distance driven and the litres added. You get l/100 km as well as mpg and km per litre. An average over several tanks is more reliable than a single measurement.
Things to keep in mind
Real consumption depends on speed, load, weather and driving style, so the result is an estimate. The trip cost does not include road tolls, parking or wear on the car.
