Favicon Generator
Turn one image into favicon.ico, PNG icons, apple-touch-icon, a webmanifest and ready-to-paste HTML.
Drop an image here or choose one (PNG, JPG, WebP, SVG)
How to create a favicon set
- Choose a PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG image. A square image of at least 512×512 px, or an SVG, works best.
- Decide whether to fit the whole image (leaving empty space) or cover the square by cropping the edges.
- Pick a transparent background or a colour and, if you like, a site name for the manifest.
- Download each file on its own or the whole ZIP, then copy the HTML code into your page's <head>.
What you get
The set contains favicon.ico with 16, 32 and 48 px icons, favicon-16x16.png, favicon-32x32.png, apple-touch-icon.png (180×180), android-chrome-192x192.png, android-chrome-512x512.png and site.webmanifest. Upload the files to your site's root folder so the paths match the generated code.
Tips and privacy
- Fine detail disappears at small sizes, so a simple mark or a single letter with strong contrast works best.
- The apple-touch-icon cannot be transparent: iOS shows transparent areas as black, so this icon gets a white background when you have not chosen a colour.
- Browsers cache favicons aggressively, so a change may not show up immediately.
- Everything is processed on your device and the image is never uploaded.
