Video Trimmer
Cut the part of a video you need and save it as MP4 or WebM, all in your browser.
Drop a video file here or choose one
How to trim a video
- Choose a video file and preview it in the player.
- Enter the start and end time as mm:ss.s, or press the marker button to take the current playback position.
- Choose the output format (MP4 or WebM), a maximum height and, if needed, remove the audio.
- Press Trim, wait for it to finish and download the result.
Tips
- The video is re-encoded (H.264 with AAC for MP4), so the cut is exact, but it takes longer than a simple stream cut.
- Choosing 720p or 480p makes the result smaller. A lower resolution is never scaled up.
- Large files are hard on phones: the browser may run out of memory. If the file is several hundred megabytes, trim it on a computer or shorten the recording first.
- Some browsers cannot preview MKV or AVI files. In that case enter the times by hand.
Privacy
The file is processed on your device with ffmpeg running in the browser and is never uploaded. You can stop the process at any time with the Cancel button.
