Point the camera at a QR code.
How to use it
- Image: choose or drag in a photo or screenshot containing a QR code. The result appears right away.
- Camera: click Use camera, allow access and point it at the code. The camera turns off once a code is read.
- The decoded text is shown in a box and you can copy it.
- If the code contains a web link, it only opens in a new tab when you click the Open link button.
Safety and tips
A QR code can point to a fraudulent site, so this tool never opens links automatically. Check the full address before you click Open link.
- Look closely at the domain: lookalike names with small changes are a common scam trick.
- Do not enter passwords or card details on a site you reached from an unknown code.
- If a code is not recognised, use a sharper, larger image that shows the whole code with a light margin around it.
- The camera works only on secure (HTTPS) pages and only after you grant permission.
