PDF to Word (DOCX) – extract text
Only the text of the PDF is extracted and saved as .docx – the document stays on your device.
Important: only text is converted. Layout, tables and images are not preserved. Scanned PDFs (without a text layer) are not supported.

How to use it
- Choose a PDF that contains real text (one where you can select words with the mouse).
- Click “Convert to Word” and wait – you will see which page is being processed.
- Check the text preview and download the .docx file. It opens in Word, LibreOffice or Google Docs.
What this tool does and does not do
It transfers text only: lines are joined into paragraphs based on the spacing between them, and each page's text starts on a new page. The original layout, fonts, colours, columns, tables, images, headers and footers are not preserved – table contents may end up as plain paragraphs, so expect to tidy the document by hand afterwards.
Scanned PDFs
If a PDF is scanned or made of photos, it has no text layer, so there is nothing to extract and the tool tells you so. In that case use an OCR (text recognition) tool: first turn the pages into images, then recognise the text from them.
Privacy and size
The PDF is processed in your browser and is not sent anywhere. Password-protected files are not accepted. Very large documents (over 100 pages or 30 MB) may take longer and use a lot of memory.
