Working days calculator: business days between dates and deadlines

Pick dates to get the number of working days, or the date after a number of working days. Weekends and Lithuanian public holidays are excluded.

Pick an end date to see the result.

Shortened pre-holiday working days are not modelled: such a day is counted as a full working day. Holidays that fall on a day off are not moved to another day.

How to use it

The calculator has two modes. Choose the one you need and fill in the fields.

  • Working days between dates: enter a start and an end date. The "Count the start and end dates" option decides whether both boundary days are counted; when it is off, the end date is not counted.
  • Add or subtract working days: enter a start date, a number of working days and a direction. The start day itself is not counted, so adding 1 working day gives the nearest working day.
  • If your workplace works on Saturdays, switch on "Treat Saturdays as working days".

Which days are treated as days off

Sundays, Saturdays (unless the option is on) and the public holidays listed in Article 123 of the Lithuanian Labour Code are skipped: 1 January, 16 February, 11 March, Easter Sunday and Monday, 1 May, 24 June, 6 July, 15 August, 1 and 2 November, and 24, 25 and 26 December.

Easter is calculated for every year using the Gregorian calendar, so the list works for any year. The holidays for the covered period are shown below the result. A holiday that falls on a weekend is not moved to another day.

Good to know

The calculator does not model shortened pre-holiday working days or individual schedules, so it does not give working hours. For deadlines set by a contract or by law, check the exact counting rule in the document, because some deadlines are counted in calendar days instead. The holiday list reflects the Labour Code currently in force; if the law changes, check the official source.

All calculations run in your browser. The dates you enter are never sent anywhere or stored.
