Common problems and fixes
- An MKV may have several audio tracks and subtitles. Usually one main audio track is kept, and subtitles may not be carried over.
- High resolution (for example 4K) and long duration convert very slowly in the browser – such files are better handled in desktop software.
- Files over 500 MB are not supported.
- If there is no audio, check the original audio codec – rarer formats may be unsupported.
Quality tips
For a smaller file choose 720p or 480p. To keep as much detail as possible, use 1080p and a higher quality preset.
